First lesson

I'm making a comeback after a 4 year lay off, so thought I'd get a few lessons now rather than sliding back into my bad habits. I've always played with massive, unpredictable slice, sometimes 5 yards wide somethimes 30.

I went to Alan Thompson at Heswall GC who has a good rep. It was expensive compared to others, but well worth it. Completely changed my grip which I really didn't want him to do, but I just cannot believe how much straighter I'm hitting the ball.

It's just such an amazing feeling to be able to actually aim at the flag, rather than 20 yeards wide if it

The secret now is to stick with it when you start playing badly and to work at the drills he gave you in the lesson to make sure the changes become natural
