Hi Guys,
had my first lesson tonight and was surprised with what was said.
Apparently my swing isn't too bad and for being self taught is pretty good. I draw away too quickly and that means my direction is a bit of a lucky draw so the first bit of advice was go straight back for the first foot and than swing? Does that make sense?
The other bit of advice was the position of the ball for each club and just a general rule that I used to have them all too far back.
In the 50 balls I hit I found I was getting the direction a lot more consistant and when it was going left and right it wasn't going as far as before. I am playing 18 holes tomorrow evening so going to try the new things but not pinning hopes on it reducing my score all of sudden. Just got to get to the range a couple of nights a week to practice.
Thanks for the recommendation on going for the lessons as he managed to give me a few pointers on my low irons and let me use a hybrid to try it (previous post).
Will let you know how it unfolds over the next few weeks.
