first ever comp

well last night played a junior 9 hole stableford competition. was pooing myself on the first tee, but i was closest to the pin as it as a par 3 and ended up with a par. I then screwed up the second hole as i thinned my wedge and went for miles. Lost my ball and therefore ended up with a quad-bogey
things started to improve from there on in. 1 bogey 2 birdies and the rest pars. ended up with 20 stableford points which gave me joint second place.
i was soo happy especially as it my first ever time playing with my new ap1s.

well iv got to get my handicap re-assesed or something - golf clubs fault - but they gave my provisional 19 but should be about 15/16

I think you are makking great strides then. Try not to get too bogged down and obssessed with scores and technique and just make sure you have the fundamentals nice and secure and enjoy the fun of the game. Second with a horror hole is good so keep at it.
