Won the Stableford competition yesterday to mark my first ever competition win. 40 points, 21 out 19 in, one blob and left a few points out there with a couple of missed short putts. Been building up to a good round for a few weeks as I have been growing in confidence since having a couple of short game sessions with my pro and seem to have found a bit of form off the tee of late. Won my division by 6 points and overall by 1 point. Shot of the round for me was a holed 65 yard approach on the SI1 12th for birdie.

Handicap duly cut from 18.3 to 17.1.

YAY! Well on my way to my HC target of 15 for this year. Couple more rounds like that and I might need to look at changing my 2012 target.

Great golf mate. Keep it going and ull easily pass 15!!

Its great getting that first one under the belt. Enjoy it and kick on. Might be worth dropping that target by another shot and aiming for 14. Personally I think 12-13 wouldn't be out of the question

Well played chap, I had my first win (in my second comp!) a few weeks back, feels good don't it?! Unfortunately I haven't been able to get back out since between work, a visit home to Ireland and being sick after it, hoping I can pick up where I left off!

15 is easily doable chap, dream big and go for 12!
