And my maiden victory.
43 points with a no return on the card got me the win today, four ahead of second place with 39. The old bandit comments were out in force, jokingly for the most part but I'm relishing getting cut a couple of shots even if most people wouldn't be.
It was a round where I held it together after bad shots, I blobbed the second which is a short par 3 but just didn't let it get to me. Chipped away all day and didn't even get down when I drove out of bounds on the 14, hitting my second drive over the dog leg and just short of the green to scramble a point.
The par 3s were my friend today... 16th hole, 205 yards and I land a hybrid just past the pin and two putt for a nice par. 18th hole, 225 yards and again I hit hybrid, pushing right before chipping around a bunker to place safe for a four. Ending up actually draining the long par putt for another welcome 3.
