Well after playing in 2 comps for 2 of my h/c cards this will actually be the first comp I'm actually propley entered in. It's stableford so I'm looking forward to it more as I tend to play better in that format.

The weather is perfect, blue sky and no wind, there is some rain forecast for about 3pm but I'm off at 10.32 so I should miss it.

Now time for a bacon Sarnie and a few black coffees to wake me up.

So like I said I normally play better in stableford.......... Not today! 23 points with 3 N/R .

Didn't hit one fairway all day and only had 2pars. My putting saved me a couple of times today but the rest of my game was crap. Need to get a lesson asap but the bloke I get lessons off is in hospital so might have to elsewhere.

One of the lads I was playing with was about 20 and playing for his h/c and went round in 84! He hit his drives a mile and straight! The complete opposite to me!

bozza, had my 1st monthly medal and shot a net 75.. 6 over, 1 par, started with an 8 and finished with a 9!!

theres always next time so just put it down to one of them days

Aye just have to try forget about it and move on.

It's annoying how inconsistent my game is at the minute, i'm going from one round playing to my handicap and my swing feeling good to a week later and playing nowhere near my handicap and my swing feeling all over the place.

Think i'll have to go down the club tomorrow and see if i can get a lesson with one of the pro's down there as it may be awhile before i can get one with the pro i have at a diffrent course.

Don't worry fella. Just put it down to experience. I found I was trying too hard in my early competitions. Much more relaxed now and less daunted playing off the big boys tees.
