first comp done! happy chappy

just got back in and im happy with my performance today, i scored 32 points, and didnt bottle it, only really had one nightmare hole the 16th but easy to just forget about it, the beauty of stableford,

putting was on form today only one 3 putt, and narrowly missed 2 long off the green putts by 6" short, irons where behaving also only one major pull left, the naughty club was the driver who was retired not long after starting in favour of my hybrid which i hit nearly as long but more consistent either strait or a nice gentle fade

i have figured out today that i play better when im playing against others, it was massively apparent when i compare past rounds against others against when i play on my own, i loose focus and become bored and thus slack, and not the case when it means something!

next up is stroke play medal on wednesday, first every shot counts comp cant wait!!

nice one Richie, medal is a different kettle of fish, I hate strokeplay as I always usually have a couple of nightmare card wrecking holes

just swing easy and if you need to chip out sideways then do it (thats from experience which I have only recently begun to do lol)

Medal is a truer reflection of how you are playing but it can be tamed. Just don't try and force it, think about course management and swing easily. All sounds so simple tapping it onto a keyboard. Enjoy it though. Putting your handicap on the line in comps is what its all about

i dont want to be a 28 handicapper, i can get it lower and my plan is to do so as fast as i can!! and i dont want to play golf for the sake of playing golf i need to compete i cant not test myself against others
