Finally re-joining a club!

Well, hopefully anyway! A local club here in Gloucestershire, Thornbury (www.thornburygc.co.uk) offers "intermediate" membership for people aged 18-30 and it's half the price of a 7 day so I can actually afford it!

Not played there yet, but friends that I play American Football with are members and say it's a lovely course.

Oh and no joining fee, which is nice. In complete contrast, the other club I was going to join, Cotswold Hills, has a £600 Joining fee. You HAVE to become a 5 day member and placed on a 2 year waiting list to be a 7 day member and membership is around £700 a year. Think I'll pass for now.

As long as Thornbury will accept me with open arms, I should be a member by the end of August.

If there are any other clubs in the area that you're also interested in joining - it may be worth ringing up and inquiring whether they also offer intermediate memberships. When I was asking around I found that the majority of clubs do, but they aren't advertised on the website. x

Gets very good reviews from everyone I know who's played there. I will obviously be trying before I buy, it's looking good at the mo!
