Took an early day at work on wednesday as I'd been invited to play on my usual society, I dont normally do mid week and tee off was at five in the afternoon at Pedham Place.
Anywho so I roll up anhour early and hit 50 ballson the range, this is my 1st round in 5 weeks but I hit the range balls fairly well. The other lot arrive and two four-ballsquickly arranged. Swindle sorted, £30 front, £30 back and tenner on each par 3 for nearest pin.
I'm out in the first group, in what turnsout to be my best round ever and certainly the best front 9 I;l probably EVER have! 25 points on the front and 17 on the back, 42 pts! Beat my previous best of 99 with 94 for a nett 66! -6 and I won the front AND back so I pocketed the £60 too lol, no nearest pins but then there were guys playing off of 2 handicaps so I wasnt expecting any of that pool. So happy though, 5 pars and a birdie to boot! lovely chip on with an 8 iron (putting stroke) and a 15 foot roll later its sunk.
Society again on Sunday, the captain has cut me to a 24, but if I can play aswell as I did wednesday I should still be in the running
