Wishing our assistant pro Jack Clarkson luck in Dundonald - apparently got in as 38th alternate and teed of at 7:30 this morning with PGA Tour player Mackenzie Hughes.
Will be a hell of an experience for him no matter what the result is!

I found this article an interesting read, about the mindset of an amateur entering the Open. Some might say there's a touch of Maurice Flitcroft in this story, but if I could legitimately enter the Open I'd give it a go just for the experience.
