Final Qualifying started today!

Can players choose where to try, or are there some restrictions?

I.e. it might be statistically easier to make it through via Japan than say Texas USA

I'd imagine they can choose - depending on what suits them.

Be a bit if a trek to Japan though just to improve your chances, and there are only 3 spots assured compared to the 8 at Walton Heath for example.

Talor Gooch failed to qualify so I suspect there won’t be a huge amount of interest

Nice to see Sam Bairstow in there - followed him round Ganton for a few holes a few weeks back as he was playing against a lad I've known since he was about 12.
We stopped on the 10th to watch the rest of the field come through - Marcus Armitage, Dan Bradbury, Marco Penge plus a few others, so we missed Sam making an ace on a the par 4 14th. He's a talented kid.
