Films

The one where they replaced a hard as nail hitman with a female rap artist.

In fairness, while the new TV series is awful, the original Equalizer wasn’t exactly a graphic beat em up. Ed Woodward made more of a “threatening protagonist” than an outwardly violent one and much of the violence was intimated rather than explicit.

I think the films have made many forget that the original series was more of a thriller/moralistic lesson in each episode.

Watched I swear last night though it was really good, the guy playing the lead was brilliant

Just watching it now - really, really good. And I’ve just said to my wife that the two actors who played John are outstanding. To be able to portray the awful involuntary tics which Tourette sufferers live with and make them look so genuine must be exceptionally challenging.

Just watched I swear.
More of a documentary than a film.
My son suffers with very similar symptoms and watched it with him and his mum.
So many incidents that reminded us of things in the past.
We laugh about a lot of them now but it was difficult at the time

Our 3-year-old girl is just about developing the attention span to watch a film so we watched Ratatouille the other day. Quite enjoyable, she seemed to like it too.
That's pretty advanced for a three year old.

Have you tried the classic Disney films? Lady and the Tramp, Jungle Book, Aristocats etc. Visually good for little uns, simple stories, great music.

This week I watched Extinction (Netflix)

I quickly realised that I had seen it before but with a big enough time gap to not remember most of it.

Nice for film for the Alien Invasion devotees with a good plot twist about 2/3rds of the way through.

Look at Harry Potter a 7 film series that’s been completed and will go down as one of the biggest franchises ever. Now they’re remaking the whole thing as a tv series.
I was hoping that the series would be able to put back the missing bits from the books that the films decided to remove and also re-instate the proper ending from the Battle of Hogwarts from the book (as the end of the last film was bloody awful).
However, slightly worried about some of the casting changes as per Taz's comment

Having only recently gotten a Disney sub, I have been going through the Marvel films I have not seen and last night it was

Gardens of the Galaxy 3 good watch although it is a bit long.
