Films

We watched the new Liam Neeson Naked Gun film the other night. Some of it was awful, some bits were funny. Not a total waste of time overall.

Can’t bring myself to watch it. For me it’s one of those films that should have been left as a classic.
It's not a remake, it's more of a homage to the originals, so fair game in my view. I like silly humour and generally like Liam Neeson so thought it was worth a watch. He's no Leslie Nielsen but he does alright.

Speaking of Liam Neeson, I watched Ice Road: Vengeance. 😳. Not really any ice roads and not much vengeance. Plus CGI done by Stevie Wonder made it a good watch 😄

Watched Nosferatu 2024 last night, thought it was an excellent “gothic” horror. Nothing new obviously, the story is a classic but Nicholas Hoult was superb (again) and Willem Defoe stole the show!

Went to see I Swear tonight.

Based on the true story of John Diamond, a Tourette’s sufferer. You may remember a documentary about him called John’s Not Mad.

Tough watch at times but ultimately life affirming.

Saw One Battle After Another - mixed feelings, enjoyed it overall, some great performances- Sean Penn in particular and Leo is always excellent- but just the story just didn’t quite work imho

Was really looking forward to to watching this.
Dicaprio is the 🐐 imo.

Last night I watched

Dirty Angels (Netflix)

I had to look up the cast at the beginning to make sure it was Eva Green (never realised before that she is French)

Good enough to watch through in one go.

The Woman in Cabin 10. Perfectly passable thriller on Netflix, only 95 minutes long 👍.

Slightly silly ending but not silly enough to stop you watching it.

It's set on a super yacht and whilst I know the internal shots will be a set, I'd like to think that's what they are like. If anyone on here is a billionaire with a super yacht, I'm available if you want company. I think it would be quite a pleasant experience 😊. Oh, and unlike in the film, I won't murder anyone, pinky promise.

I saw that last week and was absolutely blown away by it.
Hilarious, sad, scary and heart warming all at the same time.
An absolute emotional roller coaster.
