School of Rock. The second worst film in the world, ever!
King Kong. The third worst film in the world, ever!

You must have issues with Jack Black. I quite like him...don't know why.

Yes, I think I do. I don't find him funny and I don't like the cut of his gib...

Plus, he really rates himself which I can't understand. :)

LOTR - the books were never intended for children. lovely scenery but Frodo I just wanted to slap - a lot.

Death Wish series - how bad can you get? well Rocky I suppose.

Totally agree about Jim Carey - he only has one character - himself, then so has Robin Williams and Emma Thompson.

Woody Allen stopped making anything funny/interesting after the sci/fi one. he ruined Bananas - it was a funnier book - not unusually. So far up himself he snapped off!

2010 - ten times worse than 2001

Couldn't stand Roger Moore as Bond

Any and all transposition films - son becomes father becomes son stuff

- and the 'poetic license' taken with history - U571 ring any bells?

americans trying to do Dickens - and Shakespeare

Avatar - biggest disappointment in a while..visually impressive but achingly corny and patronising.

Any Guy Richie film after Lock, Stock

Jaws 2,3 and 4 - talk about flogging a dead...shark

The Italian Job (2003 with Mark Wahlberg) - why?

The Wicker Man (with Nicolas Cage) - really why?

Lots more, but these will do for starters

:)

Agree with the general hatred of lower quality modern re-makes. How many have there been recently that have missed the point of the original or tried to replace scares and suspense with cheap CGI shocks.

Because the biggest market for movies is the states, and they don't want to see a Brit flick.

I thought it was an ok film. Films don't have to be factual.

Why remake get carter with Sly Stallone?

2001 space odessey.

Unfortunately it only really makes sense at the end of 2061, The Final Odyssey. (Or is that 3001?)

Troy, 300, Sin City...pretentious rubbish, all of them. I would say The Godfather Trilogy, but never watched any of them. However, that gritty, violent gangster stuff just isn't my cup of tea I suppose.

Shawshank Redemption: Was never able to make myself watch the whole film.

*shakes head* Certainly one of THE most watchable films of all times !

Maybe I was subject to all the over hype surrounding it as when I eventually watched it because it was allegedly a "must see" film I found myself thinking I'd just wasted an evening of my life. A watchable film and decent story no doubt but decidedly average IMHO.

Others....
Star Wars
Blazing Saddles
Die Hard

Thought about this when I got home...Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. What a load of tosh. Same goes for Hero. Also House of Flying Daggers. I do like a good chop-socky Martial Arts film, but these are just silly.

Blair Witch Project. I've spent the night with scarier women than this film!!

I decided to go the whole hog with this film so I made sure I was alone, shut all the curtains, turned all the lights off and pressed play....

The film wound me up more and more!!

OK, you're lost in a forest - what's the best thing to do when you're lost?? Yes, that's right - throw away your map - brilliant!! That's a much more sensible option than using the damn thing!!

Then, they come across a fast flowing river. What would I do in this situation?? I probably build a raft using wood, bracken and twine from the trees and then float down the river which will probably lead to civilisation of some sort. What do they do?? Cross the river and head off into the forest - without a map!!

Then, and this was the REALLY stupid part - it's night, you're scared, you think something's after you - what's the best thing to do?? Lie dead still under your tent and make no noise whatsoever - like a mouse would do in a similar situation (although I don't think mice have tents....) or raise bloody hell by shouting and screaming and waving your torch around like some demented raver. Yep, the murderer will never find you now!!

IDIOTS!!

Finally, it was 98/99 - no-one had a mobile then no. You've got a camcorder but no mobile.

CRETINS!!
