I cannot believe the amount of people quoting Guiness as their favorite. I'd rather drink Lager than Guiness, it tastes like burnt toast :(

I can't stand Guiness either. Tastes crap.
Now Mackeson. That's a good beer. Or Sweetheart when in Scotland.

Only use to drink Guiness at London Irish games. Never really got into bitters and I guess being honed on Fosters as soon as I could get served didn't help develop a palette for it.

I loved the blonde beers and was a huge fan of Hurliman (hooligan) lager but have come a right cropper on that so many times.

Normally I am a cider drinker though a pint of locally brewed India Pale Ale is great

Normally only drink lager on holiday and then go for the local brew. Loved Chang in Thailand.

Having lived in Brussels for 4 years as a teenager I have an affinity for anything Belgian.

But I'd echo the Timmy Taylor, London Pride shouts, and add Doom Bar in there as well.

Badger do seem to do some tasty ale, never tried one hand pulled yet though.

Funny you say that.

Sunday I went for a country walk with HID. We found a rather nice pub, with a very nice pint of Badgers available.

And after a couple of miles walking, I felt I'd earned it. :D

I took the plunge today and went to my local "majestic" wine place. The chap serving asked what kind of wine I liked and my reply was "anything, I'm here for the beer!"

I left with a crate of birra moretti (dark-ish Italian lager) and today's prize (as I've been searching) a crate of Thwaites "Wainright"....probably my favourite Ale of all time.
