Yeah i also dont mind splashin the cash, if its nice, al buy it (providing its calloway haha).

Whilst were on the subject, anyone know how much the new dry joys are? You know the 'Flextabilitiy' ones. They look nice. am guessin £120ish??

Will spend whatever it costs to buy a decent pair of shoes but the rest is Asda, Tesco etc. The othe source of good cheap clothes is a chain of sports shops called Decathlon. Have bougth some great long sleeve golf tops for about £8.00 each and sweaters for £15.00. Are really good quality.

Tony, you'll be pleasantly suprised, they call them Dry-Joy Pro 08 or Pods. Various online outlets £89.99 (+pp obviously), AG £99

Careful though, the ones I think you're after have seven pods, earlier ones have two

If I honestly thought that genuine golf gear was the slightest bit better made than it's equivilant from M&S I would buy into the idea. As it is, I don't.There does appear to be some exceptions.

I have a fairly cheap pair of Hi-Tec shoes that look more like fell-walking shoes than golf shoes at the moment but they cut my feet to shreads and just refuse to be broken in....and after initially wanting to avoid the polished golfer look, ive decided to give into it.

Think i'll try some Footjoys next, maybe some SP-7's if they are genuine leather uppers.

On the other hand I think Polo shirts, trousers and jumpers come off the same machine and have the appropriate label sown in. Ive looked at the better golf clothing brands and the quality ain't all that IMHO.

As for anything lime green, pink, powder blue or yellow- give it rest- no wonder non-golfers think it's a muppet sport.

When i'm on the golf course I want to look and feel as inconspicuous as possible and not like Coco the blinkin' Clown.

I got some Maine gear from Debenhams at Christmas and its good quality and not to bad priced either. I do see AG have the lambswool Ping sweater for £20 each which is a bargin, and I would purchase that if the wife wouldnt find out ;)

By the way, my pink jumper is identical to the new Greg Norman range (£49.99)

But I got it for £7 in Burtons sale. I WOULD NEVER buy a Lyle and Scott again as they are complete rubbish. Years ago I had a Pringle that was £80 and it wore through at the back and the guy told me it was because I carried my golf bag and it WAS NOT a golf jumper. Aye right !!!!!!

If anybody says I got it in Dorothy Perkins there is gonna be claret all over this forum tonight ;)

...you haven't even worried the tee pin with that one Madandra ;)

Still, you look a bit aggessive with the big dog (even with the tee cosy on) so don't come down to London to knock my teeth out

Pods???? sorry am lost.

£100 aint bad i suppose, they are the ones in this months magazine

Nice finish there. Liking the bobble hat too wish it was cold enough in the medwayterranean so i could buy one

Like it andy, I am a big fan of pink gear both for golf and socially, I even have pink shoes for a night out to match my shirts.

The problem is that where I come from, you are an alleged homosexual if you don't have love and hate tattoo'd on your knuckles, or if you don't have a mangey staff that you walk on a bit of rope, or if you don't call everyone bruv, or if you aren't on the dole, or if you don't use recreational drugs/have a drink problem. Chatham, putting the $h!t in $h!thole.

This makes me as gay as gay can be in the eyes of the locals so the pink clobber tops it off.
