The Grinder Of Pars (Semi Crocked)
With my Driver that is......
After staggering to 30 points yesterday in the Monthly Comp and a timely cancellation of a lesson, I found I had time to go out agian today to try to find my game that had got lost somewhere on the front 9....
I think I may have found it.
After reading that TheCraw had his 910 cranked up to 11 degrees and the 2 wood loaned from GM sort of working, I decided to go to 11 degrees too. I also closed the face to it's most closed setting giving me a driver with 11 degrees loft with a 1 degree closed face.
Everything began to go long and straight. I missed only fairways and they were both with irons in a cross wind and then only by a foot or 3.
The good drives gave me a chance to give some new bats I'd aquired a good workout too. Hit 11 greens. Made 5 birdies.
Shot a gross 66. 49 stableford points. A PB on so many levels.
My only bogey came at the 11th when I pushed a 7iron approach into some really lush rough which I could only blast out of and 2 putt.
The new irons were fabulous. Straight (mostly) and distances not too different to my old MP58's - but anything not quite out of the middle still made good progress.
Life has a big smile on it's face at the moment. What's the betting I blow up big time against Fragger tomorrow.
And the new bats...??
Callaway Razr X Tour. I love them already.
