Fake Galvin Green?

I have absolutely no connection with or interest in the Company concerned if that is what you are wondering.

I have, however, seen the damage that can be caused to perfectly decent and reputable companies by misinformed comments, rumours and innuendo.

All I ask is that people take a little more care in considering the potential consequences of their remarks.

Did you not read the several pieces of info in the original post?

Missing trademark logo, inferior velcro, cheaper price, the font looks different....

As I said earlier, all those are tell tale signs of fake goods, so purely based on what is written in the OP, it's not unreasonable to suggest that something is not quite right.

You lot really do post the most ill-informed tripe.

The OP makes a typo error referring to "Gavin Green" and that, apparently, is evidence that the site is selling fake goods.

And as for being able to order Ping irons directly I suggest that HK tears himself away from The Grauniad long enough to view the website where it clearly states that all Ping clubs can only be ordered by phone, the same procedure as other reputable sites.

Wooosh 😂😂

Have you even bothered to visit their website or are you basing your suspicions purely upon hearsay.

If the latter that's OK but then it is probably best not to voice your suspicions as this can only serve to "give the story legs" that it may not deserve.

........and the question of Ping clubs being ordered direct? Was that another joke?

I've just been through the website, tried to order a set of Ping, and it seems that I can do this. While not even slightly suggesting they are a dodgy company, this is what HK was referring to, and unbfortunately happens to be one of the traits people look for regarding fraud.

The site asks for you to telephone the Company to order.

Does it? I will happily retract, but I just adding Ping irons to my shopping basket and got as far as the payment page? Unfortunately I'm not going to actually buy them to prove you wrong, but I would expect it to flag much much before putting my payment details in! I can't see where it says to ring the company?

If you want to replicate i'm looking at "Ping I Series Irons 2015"

Erm, I did the same as Cheltnenham and got as far as the bit requesting my credit card details. And in my post I did state that I did not believe they would knowingly sell fake goods countering the claim from someone else that they probably were fake. But again the Ping thing is just one sign that things might not be right. In this web sites case the only sign.

I'll state again that I do not think they knowingly sell fake goods and this is just an website/admin cock up. But if they want to put that one to bed then ensure people can not get as far as entering their Paypal details when ordering Ping on line.

If you go onto Twitter, ask Galvin Green direct, maybe with a pic? I'm not sure if they are on Twitter, but if they are I imagine they'd be pretty swift with a positive or negative ID?

Simple answer to the OP is take it up with the store and take some pictures. If you send it via email (and therefore have a copy ) and cc Galvin Green customer service in I think you've all basis covered
