Fairmont St Andrews

Got a freebie voucher for any of the Fairmont St Andrews courses and was going to pay for my dad to come along as it's his birthday soon.

Has anybody played the courses since the redevelopments a couple of years ago?

If so, which one would you recommend Torrance or Kittocks?

I have played the kittocks a couple of time since the changes and it's a decent track. When you get down to the bay the holes are amazing. One of the par4's is reachable with the sea in play though so be brave! I think the Torrance is tighter and more of a proper golf course and the kittocks is a resort course

Guys from my track were at both last week and the siad the Torrance was head and shoulders better than Kittocks....greens were superb.

That's what i heard. Hoping to play the Torrance next year on St Andrews pilgrimage.

Played the Torrance a fair few times and the greens are excellent.

Never played the Kittocks but I'd expect it to be good, but the Torrance is the number 1 course.

Played the Kittocks in September the course was in great nick ,the greens were fast and true the only downside was the condition of the bunkers which were full of stones and very little sand.

Only played The Kittocks, but I'll not be rushing back.The torrance looks better.
