Facebook/ browser problem

Recently when I click the Facebook shortcut on my laptop it takes me to the Edge browser page, where I need to type in Facebook and login .
How can I get the shortcut to work again, any ideas TIA

Microsoft Edge,
Unpin from start, resize, more or uninstall.

Is that the shortcut on the taskbar or on the homepage?
If there is one on the homepage does that work?

I'm not sure what you are describing exactly but if it is a bookmark in your normal browser, right click, click edit and correct the URL

This is the only Facebook shortcut I have, previously it took me straight to my F/book page but now it opens the Microsoft Edge browser page. Where I need to type in F/book log-in.

Was edge your default browser? It may have taken you to Facebook but the browser was prob edge

It just sounds like you been logged out of FB and need to get it to remember your log in again so the shortcut then works

Happens often now for security reasons

I think Edge was my browser, but strangely I don't have to enter a password after I type in Facebook log-in.
Seems odd that it's only recently the Facebook shortcut takes me to Microsoft Edge

Yes it been rebooted.

Have you tried just making a new shortcut

Yes deleted it and created a new one, still the same.
I think there was an update on my laptop windows 10 a few weeks ago. The shortcut on my android phone still works.
Update, I deleted and re-installed again, this time it worked so happy days, sorted.
