Found this.

Most 'bad shot' youtube videos are made by nohopers, and shorts wearing hobos messing around on a range.

But this one looked to be more the sort of thing I'd do.

Is it evil to laugh at other people's pain ?

1st tee nerves ?

I can actually relate to this guy's pain.

Many years ago I was first group out in a large society outing. There must have been 30 to 40 folk watching on the first tee and I choose driver as my weapon of choice for the driveable par 4. Couple of practice swings and tee the ball up. Proceed to make a horrendous swing at the ball, it's only the draught as the clubhead passes over the top of the ball that actually topples it from the tee peg an inch closer to the hole.

I could hear the sniggers and laughter from behind so trying to remain calm pick the tee out of the ground and not wanting to turn around take a couple more practice swings with the driver and hit a cracker off the deck onto the front of the green. Walking backwards to my bag and then walking off down the fairway.

So I probably hit both the worst and best shot I have ever hit but really glad to say no one was recording my exploits.

Everyone behind him was laughing with relief that no matter how bad their teeshots were going to be it wasnt going to be as bad as the first one  :D

At least it was closer to the hole than when he started :)

Hi,
The first inter club match i played in was for 9 handicappers and above the 4 guys on our team who went in front of me were 2 30 yard tops and 3 OB i told the club pro i was hitting it down the 9th to be safe and ended up middle of the first 50 yards away from where i was aiming it shows what nerves can do to us all.

At least he was level par teeing off. Also he shouldn't have been replacing divot on tee,so i assume someone waited for him to replace it before telling him! I wish i had not seen this as it will be on my mind when i next tee off the first.

I once saw a guy hit his driver off the first hole. It never got more than about six inches into the air, hit a marker stone on the ladies tee about 10 yards in front and come ricocheting backwards putting through a window in the club house.

I also once played with someone who (again on the first tee) hit the ball off the hosel so that it came backwards, hit him on the ankle and he had to retire hurt from the competition as he couldn't walk on it.

I've also seen someone tee off on the first and fell someone putting out on the adjacent 18th. Claret everywhere.

I guess the moral of that story is don't play with me!

Mind you, I also tried to hit out of a ravine once and thinned a wedge which ricocheted off a rock in the ravine face and took me right in the plums. Damn nearly castrated myself.

He was having a peep of where it was destined for i think...Taking his eye off it just enough.. :D
I had a similar experience a few months ago on our 10th tee....Took out my trusted rescue and topped it 4 yards reused said club again and put the ball straight into the lake in front of me.......I walked away laughing :D :D

I nearly wet myself! :) :D

In fairness, with a fairway that tight, I'd have a) teed off with a 5 iron and b) probably been in a worse position only 180 yards down in those pesky trees!
At least he had a second shot.....

and the ladies to tee to aim over.... :D

what made me laugh the most was video caption...."level par".....yeh, not for long!!!!!! :)
