Not really sure what to make of this, on the one hand it's mildly amusing, but what is it teaching kids?

I got a text from one of the youngsters I play fives with after I asked him if his brother was coming and it read:

naw, am no cumn am at da gem n a hink hez wurkn. cya da mora man.


I am told he is saying:

'No, I am not coming because I am at the game (Celtic) and I think my young brother is working. I will see you tomorrow dear fellow'

I get a headache reading his texts. He even talks in txt language by missing out vowels.

Whilst I agree and I don't think TV shows are the sole cause, I would also expect far more kids have access to and spend far more time watching TV now, than in the days of Bill & Ben

I have no idea but maybe it's the kool thing for youf to do. I feel sorry for those of you of a certain age who will have to be bi-lingual in years to come. I'm too damn old to be affected.

I seriously cannot do with it, I'm no snob, I have a Yorkshire accent but I don't want to sound like I come from another country (political correctness stops me elaborating further)
This inner city bastardised English is only going to get worse as generations go by. I do not expect kids to speak perfect Queens English but teachers and parents have to try to put a stop to this or Britain will become a laughing stock in future.

I saw the adverts for this last week, wont beletting my little bloke anywhere near it! How the BBC have allowed it to air I dont know, I mean slang is one thing, but accents? Think I'd rather the lad had an English accent, even if its a cockney one.
