UK Eurovision viewers - 8M
UK golf participation - 1M
Eurovision - inclusive and joyful, doesn't take itself too seriously
Golf - not so much
BBC Eurovision Primetime Coverage this week - 13 hours
BBC Golf Coverage (anytime) this year - 0 hours.

Seems right? - not so much.

Is there any Eurovision coverage on BBC next week? Can it's 8M UK fans maybe watch it on the Sky Eurovision channel?
There are plenty of other minority hobbies that are more popular than golf but get less TV coverage.
I'm not a Eurovision "fan" as such. I just stumbled across the coverage this week and found it thoroughly entertaining and joyful.

It is right.

You don't have to be a singer, a songwriter or a musician to find Eurovision entertaining.
Golf on TV for a non-golfer is desperately tedious and boring

1.5 million anglers in the UK.
Competitive angling on TV? - Not much is there?

Eurovision isn't my cup of tea- so I don't watch it. But it seems popular with many folk. There does seem to be rather a lot of coverage this year - but as its generally not pushing anything more interesting out of the schedule, then I'm not bothered. Each to their own.

@Crazyface I think our song will bomb this year, very poor. What are your thoughts as our resident expert?

In terms of popularity, it's normally a one night a year show that people with no usual interest in music buy into. It's like the grand national 😄. Harmless fun, no nastiness on show. Next year it will be in a different country and we will only see it on the night once again.

It is the same generic type of song that every female singer these days is putting out. I call it 'whiney pop' where they always seem to be whining on about being dumped. Nothing special and will be lucky to get top 10.
The reason we did so well last year was the song was something different from what you hear all the time on the radio

Each year I just pray for a return of the 2014 Polish milk maids with their butter churning act.

I will not post a link because the content/images would probably breach some sort of GM guideline as its sexually suggestive. Some of you will probably remember (difficult to forget really!!) but for others a simple search should find what you need. :D

One of my favourite Eurovision songs.
Georgia's 2007 entry.
Came 12th place, however.
Song had two titles at different times, "Visionary Dream" and "My Story".

I wouldnt mind so much if the costs were bourne by every nation who enters, but it's not. So they can stuff it as far as I'm concerned.
