Good to see the two Saltman brothers going well so far, both tied 8th as I write. We need more Scots on the tour next year.

Good also to see Chris Doak going well,I watched a bit of him and his hat at Loch Lomond last year and he looked too good a ball striker not to be on the tour full time.

Jack Doherty,watched him shoot 67 effortlessly around Goswick a couple of years back and he too looked pretty special but has done nothing since!

"our" Markus Brier does well, too. He lost his tour card after 11 straight years

He was playing with a mate of mine today, Chris Lloydd.

Proves how good these guys are, Chris shot 3 under today to go to 5 under for the tournament.................and dropped 8 places.

Young Sam's going to need the round of his life just to make the cut let alone qualify. projected cut at +1 and he's +7 with the 4th round to go. Needs a low 60's.

The final round is finished for some and it'll be a nervous wait for many of them. Delighted to see Lloyd Saltman looks like he's in. Fingers crossed for brother, Elliott.
