I played today with my homie Trev a regular PP. Don't know why but it just flowed. Having had an email about carrying on the course and maybe dropping a few clubs I left my 3 wood, 5 iron an 52 vokey in the car. The front nine my driving was good but not excellent, my second shots were very good. But my Vokey wedge 48 degree was awesome. I have listened to people say drive for show putt for dough and which is the best, but and it is a massive but "Mr up and down in two" had come to the party and he was massive.
At the end of nine holes I had shot 43 for 21 points, I was buzzing. That was with putting one in the water as well.
On the tenth I hit a screamer of a drive, my best of the day, but ended coming off with a six. I was livid. On the 11th I had a monster drive on a par four where I get two shots and came off with a seven. I was seething. Par three two points. Then I went on the best run of holes I can ever remember playing. Next hole I cannot remember ever parring. I put my third shot from 55 yd 16" from the hole. mr vokey was smoking. Three guys playing the 16th started clapping. I felt a right div.
14th si1 par five in six for three then I parred the next three. In five holes I banged 15 points. The last hole a par five I hit a average drive, smashed my fairway wood, then knobbed my third 160 yd shot. I was forty yd from the pin. mr Vokey was itching. Don't know what happened next, whether the batteries run out or what but I knobbed it 45degrees right. I scraped a seven and felt gutted.
But having counted up I had shot 43 front and 45 back playing off 21. For 41 points. I was buzzing. For a second or two the golfing God Pinglorious deserted me but the rest of my game was sublime. It is days like this that make you go out again.
the last time there was that many fours on a card was when the ginger ninja smashed the South Africans the other week at cricket.
Tashyboy is back in the house and taking casualties.

Top man. Now to keep doing it regularly. You know it's in there

Ah said there was going to be casualties this year dint I. I did I said it and today for nine holes I was " THE MAN". My best ever on the front nine was 43 well now it is a mahoosive 40. Yup you read it right 40. I was on fire.
it was the first time I have never had 6's or 7,s on my card. I had five pars and three on the spin. On the ninth I had a four footer for sixth par which missed by 1/8th inch. It was like I was possessed.

10th ok and putt dropped 2" short for par after that the wheels kinda fell off. But for 10 holes I was the man. driving, fairways, irons mr up and down in one and putter just "clicked". I know it may sound odd but it was effortless.

After nine holes a PP shook my hand, I thought I had shot 42 in my head and he had to show me the score card. Four over par and 24 points.

Keep the run going

Just had an email through re qualifiers and congu and it looks interesting (for the good). Played a nine holes on Thursday and got runners up with 20 points and said It could of been 24/25. Today's 24 could of been 26.
Aside from all the good shots I played for 10 holes, the course management was as good as I have ever played.

Ah said there was gonna be casualties this year and someone better call the ambulance coz today i broke its back.
20 points on the front nine and 23 on the back nine for 43 spondolies, a round of 86 with one in the water and two double bogeys. I must of left at least another 4 or 5 putts hanging.
Today Tashyboy was a machine.

Enjoy it but make sure the warranty is close to hand for when the machine clogs up

So what is your handicap again? You do know on forum meets (ie Foxton) it's 3/4 for retired folk 😜

Since I got back into golf my whole game has been about smashing it as far as I can, my course management was dire. I don't know what or when the eureka moment was but I don't chase duffed or lost shots, and if needs be I will lay up and use my shot/shots. I hit a couple of loose ones today but thought so what.
some of my short game was fantastic and as a PP said if some of your putts has dropped my score would of been ridiculous.
Enjoying my golf at the moment but my back is in rag order at the mo.

3/4 at Foxton, I might get a paper round for a couple of week so I am back in employment😁

Well done but next time try to break 80, it's a start....

I said earlier today on another post " cometh the hour cometh the man" well today he has come and he was wearing a Tash.
front nine, par, par, bogey , par with two shots, d bogey, bogey, par, BIRDIE woop woop, par. For a front nine of 39 and a mahoosive 25 points.
Back nine was steady going found in 45 with another two pars and twenty points.

That was a total of 45 points going round in 84, there was that many casualties my PP said he's gonna ring 999. The man with the Tash was a machine.

Odd thing was, I left a lot of shots out there and it could of been even better. The hole before my birdie I missed another 10 ft birdie putt. happy times.:whoo:

Was it a comp though Great shooting nonetheless and hope the casualties get treatment but a world of difference with card and pencil. You've proved it can be done so go out and get some big handicap cuts

We were trying to work out what the hcap cut would of been 9 X 0.4
? 3.6 reduction f it had been a Q comp. I would take that thank you very much.

Oh ah, I forgot. Jumped in the bath as soon as I got home. Back and feet killing me. As soon as I got out, having a quick cuppa, and thought I would gaze lovingly at said scorecard. Not much chance of that when it had been going round the washing machine for 45 mins sat in the back of me trousers
