With the weather being so bad I missed out on playing last week and wont be playing this weekend. Although I am getting slightly itchy feet and find myself thinking about playing, I'm actually quite enjoying having a break from playing!
I know next time I'll play I wont really be expecting much and will be more relaxed and usually shoot a good score.
How does the enforced break affect you guys? enjoying it or hating it?

p.s I'm aware that may be the daftest question ever put to a GOLF forum! :)

Not sure what you mean by break, I’ve not played so much winter golf. Vilamoura last weekend for 4 days, hopefully playing this weekend (no snow in Devon) and off to Antequera on the 16[SUP]th[/SUP] for 4 days.

:whoo:

I spent all last evening swapping my office and bedroom round(more room for the office)

I woke up this morning and almost fell out of the window....

not bothered too much due to other circumstances, will try and get out at the weekend but that could be by my only outing this month. if the holiday doesn't happen i'll be out 4 days a week as soon as the snow clears.

my golf is soo poor at the moment this enforced break will probably help

Hoping a session at the range on Saturday and Sunday will scratch the itch. Thinking of going to a different range just for different surroundings. Can't get excited about putting indoors and read all my mags and golf books. Been through the Linear Method DVD's again and so I guess its the golf from the desert and the USPGA (and Ms Stirks lovely legs) in the evenings

Didn't play last weekend and with the snow forecast for tonight / tomorrow it looks like I won't be playing this weekend either. :(

Having played every Saturday and Sunday since Christmas I feel like I'm going cold-turkey. I had been going to the range at lunchtime during the week too but we've got a big project about to kick off so things have been mental during the last week or so with lunch breaks eaten up my meetings and so forth. So no, I'm not enjoying the break! Argh!!

Not that fussed. Pretty unhappy with the whole golfing thing at the moment, so probably wouldn't be playing anyway. I can get some diy done over the next couple of weekends, which will free up more time in the spring for golf, providing I have the bug back.

I'm kind of ok about it for the moment! Lots to work on and the best place for that is the range. If the course was open I'd be there and practicing but it's not the same quality practice so....

Off to the range shortly and thank goodness they're prepared to hand pick up the balls so it stays open!

I'm having a day off golf today since I've been overdoing it a bit; played the last four days and six days last week. Have never played so much golf in fact - trying to sort out my swing changes before the serious stuff starts.

Dont play in the really cold weather anyway. Due to my neck. Just some gentle practise to hopefully keep some idea of the swing going. Well thats the plan anyway. Have a park across the road from the house so just go on there for 30mins here and there. Short game practise.(dont have to walk so far to pick up the balls). They also have a bowling green good for putting practise too.(good job I know the parkie).

Playing every weekend thank god , only 13 holes but its golf .. bring on the qualifiers again , some real golf cant wait .. id play this min if i hadnt to work .

Im pulling my finger nails out. I only played last Saturday but the Sunday Stableford got called off and this weekend is a write off. Ive got my new 3 wood to try out and I was on a hot streak before this weather. I cant even go to the range as that has closed as well.

Not played since Christmas and Cabin fever is kicking. This time of year is even tougher as I'm living for the weekends with the evenings still dark.

Played last saturday but unfortunately looks like no golf this weekend (very cold weather incoming).

Have a winter league match next sunday, really buzzing about my golf this year and i just wanna get out there and play! Very frustrating.

I have played 3 times a week since the start of January, had a game today, 32 points, not the best conditions but it's nice to get out. Putting was difficult. I am lucky I suppose that I work 4 days on, 4 off, more snow forecast for 8pm tonight, so probably slim chance of a game tomorrow.

Course has only been closed since Friday but the closure has unfortunately co-incided with a resolution to have no alcohol all this week - which week has lasted forever.

Very frustrated at the mo.
Managed 18 holes on Wednesday in minus 2, but it was tough going as everything was frozen.
Now I am working until next Tues.
I just want to get out to play & practice before the comps start.
