For some reason I have started to receive some spam email from loads of claims companies and lots of other random companies.
Never had it before bit somehow these companies have my email and I didn't offer it out from what I remember anyway.

Is there anyway of opting out of receiving lots of crap in your email??

(was looking at a similar thing to being ex-directory on your phone where you won't get cold called or sent advertisements through the telephone- not sure if there is an email equivalent) :D

Whatever you do, Dont reply, this confirms to the spammer that they have a valid email address for you and it will get worse.

Which email program are you using, cant you mark the message as spem or junk and filter it out that way

I get endless spam. What's particularly annoying is that most of it is on my work email, which I don't generally use for anything (other than work!).
I'm sure there are settings on web-based email or email client apps which could help the issue. Personally, I don't bother.
You can't stop it. My theory is that there must be computers out there working solely on "guessing" email addresses.
Once someone fills in "abcd@whatever.com" then a program generates thousands/millions of new ones based around that.
Then again, I could be wrong.

It's just a hotmail account I have and it comes through to my iPhone. I might have a look on the full hotmail site and see what I can find in the settings.
