Had a look on hdid, and my comp scores, eclectic was 71, and my average is 92.3, bit of a difference, is this about the norm for most people, the gap, or is my golf just a bit wild ?

The ecclectic will always be a lot lower, mine are 53 & 82.2

Those sort of figs are what I would of suspected for eclectic and average scores, they will obviously vary from h/cap catagory as illustrated with the 2 sets of figs listed.

As the eclectic score is your best score on each hole then yes, I would expect there will be a massive difference between that and your average score.

I stood and admired your half. I did make par at the first. Can't help the fact he rolled the first birdie of the day in from ten feet. Let's face it, one of those days. Rushed, out of synch, and opponents on fire

Par 64 course, best 55, average 87.7. Would like to get the average down a bit more though.

According to HDID this year since March my eclectic in qualifiers is 65 (against par of 70) with an average of 86.6.
Interesting to see some folks must have birdied nearly every hole. That would be a career eclectic for me. Are those just in qualifiers this year? If so that's excellent.

The stats I put were all time, the only two holes I haven't birdied in comp are 7 & 9, but then I think I have only birdies them once in bounce games.
This year it is 63 & 82.4 (Par 70). Strangely, and I hadn't noticed this before, but I haven't birdied 3 of our 4 par 5s in a comp this year. Something to put right on Saturday.
