was bidding on something and was out when it closed. no one else interested then bam their bid is right on when it closed. really gutted, any tips

Ebay sniper. No point treating it like an auction IMO.
All you do is put in your max ££ you're willing to pay and it'll bid within the last few seconds, if your max ££ isnt outbid you'll win.

i've heard of a thing called snipers, heard of one called gixen. Never used it myself it places your max bid with 3seconds left so you win. Might have happened to you. Google it seems to be a few about that will do it for you and most seem to be free. Could be wrong just seen a post like it on another forum.

As Lump posted, most items are done by Snipes these days.

It's free if you are prepared to enter bid 8 secs before close. I've never had an 'outbid' issue, though often it's above my max by then - so fine by me.

It'll use your log in details, if you both select £50 at 10secs it'll be whoevers connection gets through.

Get yourself the eBay app, it'll get you reminders and you can bid whenever you want

I always place my max bid with about 10 - 15 seconds to go. If I get outbid then so be it....I wouldn't have paid more anyway!

Use GoofBay sniper. It will bid up to 2 or 3 seconds before the end. I have never lost using it. Again same procedure as the rest, put in Max Bid and it will do it right at the end for you. Oh and it's FREE as well.

Like someone else said, bid the maximum that you are willing to pay, if your outbid then your not disappointed.


Ebay works if your patient and know what your willing to pay. Bargains to be had, stay patient Dave another will be along soon enough mate.

If you've finally found what you've been looking for and it has a 'buy now' price and 29 days to go and it is a bargain, DO NOT wait until the morning to buy it coz some knob will sneak in overnight and buy it from under your nose.
