Yesterday I was bidding on an old 500 GB Tivo DVR and remote control. Current price was £5.51 for something that would normally cost nearer £100.
I stick in a cheeky £30 maximum bid with a few minutes to go expecting to be outbid.
Countdown begins....any minute it will jump, I'll be outbid. The seller is probably thinking the same thing.
The winning bid was mine for £6.51 :)

Don't you just love a bargain

Evevyone loves an eBay bargin, just got my amp 3w brand new at 84.00 thanks to auction sniper. All checked with cobra uk as legit too!

Banging!

Best bargin I've had was a brand new Taylormade cb tp 6i for 9.00

you live and learn, ebay seems full of people like Bob (no offense) who seem to trawl for bargains whether they want them or not, everyone loves a bargain.

HID just started selling on ebay and put in 10 expensive items (new value £80ish) and they were all unused, she started at 99p and ..........you've guessed it they all went for 99p, they had double figure watchers within the first hours but no bids past 99p.

I'll wager the same items are back on ebay through them for a higher starting price, thats just business I suppose so hard lesson learned

Don't know where that came from. ?
I was looking for a Tivo and found one.

Anyway, despite placing the winning bid and paying for it last Tuesday, I now see from Parcel force tracking the delivery day will be on Monday....thats a week to come from Leicester to Lincolnshire. I could walk here quicker.
Why do people insist on using parcel force when it's more expensive and takes longer than the good old Post Office?

Is it not a case that above a certain size and weight that Parcel Force becomes the carrier? I used to send computers and post office would never allow them to be sent 1st class and insisted it was standard parcels which then became Parcel Force as the carrier.

just a generalisation Bob as you seem to be posting a lot on ebay bargains, I'll reiterate, no offense meant just using you as a 'poor' example

It does if you allow it to be.

Whenever I've been told that at the post office I use an online courier service, who will do it cheaper, quicker, more reliably and they collect from my house as well!
