EBay bargain

I was watching a Tivo box for sale yesterday on EBay. I wasn't going to buy it as it was collection only from Brentwood (why do people do that?) but was just curious to see how much it went for (500GB hard drive)

£0.99

Someone got a complete bargain there as the hard drive alone sells for £80.

Has anyone here got a bargain or missed out as they forgot to bid?

Can't quite match that but I got my Cally GBBII 5 wood for about a fiver as I recall. Auction ended about 3.00pm on a Saturday. I was watching it and couldn't believe no one else made a bid. It's a lovely club, great looking, pristine condition, and really goes. Subsequently bought a matching 3 wood. Highly underated clubs imho. Titanium heads and sold for a lot of money when first brought out so I understand.

Didn't someone on here get a really good deal on a set of Mizzy MP 57's or was that just a rumour?

Well there lies a story

About 5 years ago i was cruising ebay, looking at stuff that was about to finish
and I saw this 2002 dark Blue Merc CLK230 Convertible, just about to finish, with no bidders

had a quick look at parkers and sussed it was worth about £15k

Had a closer look and, bear in mind that this was before the dropdown menus, the guy had listed the car as a Mercadez and spelt Convertible with an ABLE at the end

so it wasnt coming up in any merc searches or convertible searches.

It didnt have a reserve, bids starting at £4000

So I bid £4000 and got it

All above board, drove it for a couple of years then sold it on and ended up quids in

Fragger
