Easy to use fairway woods and hybrids

Tried the TM Rbz and yes it's easy, but went for the Cleveland classic. Long and easy. Got the 5wood first but it was longer than the 3w I had, so I got the 3w in strong as well. Cheap as well.

Had a Cleveland classic 5 wood hated it
ive got Cleveland classic hybrids at moment which are ok but they aren't going to fit in with my news irons

PERSONALLY , I'd just try a few. Pop to the range or your club and see what's in the trade in bin, hit playing partners when out playing. Work out what works for you and not others

I also would rule out a 4w from a quality brand if one is there

I use a high lofted 3 wood - titleist 915- and think it's great. Fairway finder. Do its 16.5 degree almost a 4 wood but same size of head and length of a 3 wood and adjustable so can crank it down or up 1.5 degree if you wish.

This ^^ Please don't buy blind. What is good for one will not be for another. Chances of you landing on the right club for you from just buying one will be slim. American Golf will let you hit what they have as will a lot of driving ranges/pro shops combined.

For what it's worth - I hit the xhot/Xhot2 range better than their newer XR range. You may also, you may not. It's an expensive game buy and try blind

I had the Cleveland also, and couldn't get on with the closed face; I've been horrific off the deck with woods, but the Wilson Staff FG Tour M3 5-wood I have has been ridiculously easy to play off the fairway. Adjustable too, so you can play around with the loft and ball flight. Love the hybrid also.

Adams tight lies fairways and hybrids are specifically designed for what your after. As they are mainly a brand sold in the usa they go for peanuts over here on ebay.

The new 2015 fairway is a bullet too! The only fairway that out performs my rbz imo

I guess I'm a complete opposite to the trend and the whole easy to hit marketing thing.. I play off 20 and i use a titleist 910f and I love it. Off the tee or deck. I've tried the whole "easy to hit" 3woods and couldn't get along with them the likes of taylormade burners superfasts, benross quad.
In the end I got this 2nd hand for £50 and it's the best one I've owned maybe it's the smaller compact head suits my eye I don't know. But I won't be changing it for a long time

Ditch the 3W off the deck and take a 5W

Heartily recommend this option! 5W will normally go at least as far as a 3W off Winter/Spring fairways and is MUCH easier to hit. 3W MAY be an option off the deck for Summer, but is really best (generally at your level) off the Tee - unless you play plenty of links courses, where the run adds length and the ball sits up to hit!

An alternative is to use a 4W which is a 'halfway option' and can also be used off the tee, but would only consider that if you are confident of your ball-striking ability.

As for recommendations....most brands are producing pretty good products these days. I'm an Adams fan - though not of the 'tight lies' as my miss is high/low. Callaway certainly worked at a Kings of Distance day and Ping seems pretty good too. Even TM make really good heads, but I have a bit of a personal 'hatred' of the 'made for' shafts that use.

Go try some and find out what feels best - as hitting off the deck is all about confidence imo!
