E cheques

What on earth???
A kind and generous forummer with an excellent taste in training aids recently sent me some money using an E cheque, my first.
I thought this should go through quite quickly, being electronic.

5-7 WORKING DAYS !!! :angry:


Does anyone know why it takes so long please.
What's their excuse?

Offensive isn't it?

If it's a e-cheque then it's digital.
If it's digital it should take, oooh, 30000th of a second to electronically move money from one place to another....

They are pointless.

Works on the basis of a normal cheque but with no paper, takes 2 days to clear then 2 days for it to be withdrawable then another 2 days for it to be fully yours, a lot of things go back and forth between the banks especially with the amount of fraud that happens these days.
