Seems a lifetime ago that Dunlop Maxfli Australian blades were considered one of the best clubs on the market. They do certainly suffer from an image problem these days and frankly the Sports Direct connection will never help that
I am almost completely decked out in Dunlop clothing when I play, no problem with any of it, why pay £50 for a polo shirt with a Nike badge when you can one of virtually equal quality for a fiver? As for the clubs, not for me at the moment as I like my TMs, and my next set when my ability improves will be a set of high end irons. If in the meantime Dunlop brought out a set aimed at the better player I would have no problems trying them out.
I've not seen a bad mag review of the N9Z range
That's true, they may be great clubs but the 2012 NZ9 is now selling at £40 new. The irons were £180 and last time I saw them they were £65 new.
It is a shame that the clubs aren't being given a chance next to the big boys for us to test. Sports direct hardly ever stock these clubs in store so it would mean taking a massive plunge!
