Morning all,
Just a quick thought.
With Casey and Kim out of the Dubai World Champs the field has been reduced from 60 to 58.
Do you think the next two players on the rankings should have been called up to bring it back up to a full field? Would have been Darren Clarke and Stephen Dodd...

Of course they should be replaced, especially Kim who dropped out two or three weeks ago.

Pretty sure WGC fields don't reduce when people drop out so why should The Race?

No... why should they get in.....?top 60 qualified not 61st and 62nd if 2 drop out.....they werny good enough so they should have to sit at home and revaluate what could have been if they had worked harder at their games.

I'll go t'other way.

No :D

Top 60 qualified on their performance over the season. To be in the top 60 you had to win enough points/cash. Everyone knew the reference point 60 and above.

If you've not made the top 60, you haven't qualified, so why should you expect to be given a place ?

I'm in the no camp. The rules were set at the start of the season and so demz da rools!!

Saying that, if the rules had stipulated that 60 players would compete and if there were drop outs it would go down the rankings to fill the 60 then I would have been fine with that too....but dem aint da rools.

Nice to see them going out in money order, Rory and Westwood will be great to watch. Not sure if they will redraw after every round.

I'm not usually too fussed about ordinary tour events but this one will be grabbing my attention. Interested to see how the concept comes to it's conclusion and also keen to see the course.

I agree 100%

Who do people think will be successful come Sunday?

Personally would love to see Fisher win the thing, but have a feeling it will be Kaymer who tops the list.

Undoubtedly Westwood, McIlroy and Fisher are all very, very good players but think Kaymer is that little bit more ruthless when it comes to Sunday.

McIlroy won in Dubai this season, the German had a 1st and 2nd last year in the desert so both will be confident been close to recent successes.

So, Kaymer for me.

I think this will be the first really open, gloves off all in battle for a long time.
Everyone is seeing the golf course for the first time and there are a lot of the starters in good form heading in.

I'd like to see Westwood come out on top but have a sneaky feeling for Poulter.
