Playing at Drumoig in the next couple of weeks and i'd like to plot the course for freecaddie. Can anyone tell me in what order the holes are played. All i have is google maps to go with as i can't find a plan of the course anywhere, not even on their site.

Looks like it should be good fun, especially this hole!

That's the 9th hole, it's belter. Not so much the drive, you can easily lay up short of the water. Your approach to the green is another matter!!!
Hole after that is a short par 4 too, easily driveable, but the longer your drive the more chance you have of hitting water (water on both sides once you get up far enough).
I can help you with hole order, played it loads.

cheers steve,

As you've said what that the hole above is the 9th and the 10th comes back towards the water, i think i've managed to plot the course.

Does the 1st hole start off going in a north easterly direction, then a short par 3 back in the opposite direction, then east for a couple of holes with houses on the right.

i'll do a wee map plan and post it on here to see if i'm right before i plot it on Freecaddie.

I've failed at the 4th hole. the score card from their rubbish website says that the 4th is a par 4 but looking at the satellite map above it looks like a par 3! Has this changed since that photo was taken?

I think that the satellite map is wrong. If my memory's right then the 4th is a dog-leg to the right up the hill.
I'm thinking that the grey bit next to the No.16 on your photo is a new green being built.
I await to be told I'm wrong however.

Acht, i'll just leave it then. Was a good idea while it lasted, but i'll just need to leave the phone/gps at home the day we play... now, how did i used to play this game without gps again?

played it a couple of times and i think theres yardage markers on fairways- blue 200 yellow 150 and red 100 and there is couple of good holes ,but if i had a choice i`d play scotscraig in tayport- about 15 mins from drumoig !! far better course ;)

If you fancy playing Scotscraig give me a shout and we'll see if we can sort out a game. IMHO i'd give Drumoig a miss as its a bit of a trek.
