.............Not the mechanical related kind though...
As iv said in previous posts there is a bit of a love hate relationship with me and my driving....So much so that iv spent the best part of the last 2 years hitting 3 woods off the tee's figuring that it was more accurate and for the most part it was...

But.....There is nothing better feeling than clipping a nice one away with the bog fellow.

Iv dropped my G10 and an old Macgregor that i have (draw biased) and last week borrowed a G15 in stiff shaft..
I wasnt impressed at all with this...Not sure if it was shaft related or i was just having a bad day but i just could not settle with it...

So this week i borrowed an i15 with the same stiff shaft that i have in my 3 wood and my i15 hybrid except this time i was only able to get it in a 9.5 degree..

I would normally never hit anything below 10.5 with the opinion that they were for only good players...

Now my bad shot with a driver is left to right so i was a bit sceptical about the i15 and it being fade biased and aimed at better players...

Well after todays round some of my questions were answered but one thing puzzled me...
Ok the flight was a little lower.....Something that would help at our course as its always windy...But it wasnt daisey cutting low...More of a low to medium trajectory than a medium ti high...

Why was i able to keep a fade biased better player driver straighter and hit it longer than one that clearly with all Pings marketing hype is more forgiving in the G15?

Just in case it was a once off i will borrow this club again for next weekend as see what transpires but im giddy already for next saturday to come round..

Sorry for the long winded post but is anyone else playing a driver thats clearly aimed outside their handicap?

I've got a TM burner. Not sure where it was aimed at when it was released but it does the job for me. I've still got an R7 Limited and I might take that out for a go again soon. When I fisrt got it I use to bomb it but it is very light and with my quick swing it was hard to control. Now I'm swinging better it might be time to bring it back out and go for Tim distances

It funny Homer....It kind of begs the question is it all just marketing hype...
I caught one off the heel of the driver today...It showed easily with the black face....But i still got it out there a fair distance...

Ahem.....does going the other way count? I'm using a HL MX-700 and hitting it wonderfully. I hit the lot last weekend, every fairway. None over 260, but hey, it's a 2 wood :o

A lad at my course off 3hcp plays with a K15 driver and hits consistanly straight and long.

Alledgedly these are aimed at hackers.

So your swinging both ways then Dave.... ;)
Whatever gets it on the short stuff at this point my friend. :D :D

I'm using a cobra hs9, it's supposed to be for mid to low hc's and I was hit and miss for the first few weeks. Now though I've really got the hang of it, I can even choose to draw or fade it and the success rate of a decent drive is 90% + so I'm well chuffed with it

My driving is normally quite good and has been since I started really, although as my swing is starting to get faster Im thinking of putting stiff shafts into my woods :) :D

I wouldnt have thought the hs9 was for low-mid cappers. I have the hs9-m in 12 deg reg and its a doddle to hit (the odd slice but thats down to my shoddy swing)

a 3/4 easy swing yields about 230 ish for me, ok not massive but it goes straight as a die. A full swing almighty heave if straight goes around 280 but that is rare and usually includes about 50yds right :)

My driving's dreadful - no matter what I use.
I've got to a 9 handicap on recovery and short game - God help the world if I ever hit more than 2-3 fairways per round.
