Drivers

I recently got a Ping Crossover, as using the woods was just a constant battle. Beautiful club to hit, so straight, and I'm going 210-230 carry, and still getting used to it, so not that far behind my playing partners. Long par 3s, tight par 4s or par 5s hold no worries at all now. I'll stick with this until I become better with my RBZ woods. I might be tempted to invest in a newer driver, but not at the moment.

Adams kit is very reasonable second hand. You can also pick up a reasonable Ping G25 for around the £100 mark.

I tried a Crossover yesterday and was blown away..
tried the 3 with tour stiff and was launching straight with great flight

which one did you go for?

I've got a mint condition 910 with two shafts that I got off One Planer that I've only hit about a dozen times if you're interested?

Another vote for G15 here. Had mine for 5 or 6 years now was looking to replace it last season but hitting it as good as ever and struggling to justify a change. The Callaway XR was great the few times I played with it and was pretty sold on it, but after seeing the Cobra Fly z in action recently, am keen to give that a try, but unless there is some major gain I'll probably stick with the Ping

Thanks for all the offers but I am now sorted (hopefully).

My wife surprised me when I got home. She has seen me looking on e bay at drivers, anyway she had bought me a fly z in blue for the sum of £55 pounds of one of her friends husband's who did not like it. It is almost brand new not a mark on it. So worth a punt.

Cheers again.

I went for the 4 iron with a stiff shaft. I got a bit more distance on the 3 iron, but I was far more consistent with my dispersion with the 4 iron. So will gladly sacrifice those extra yards for the middle (ish) of the fairway. I was also far more relaxed in my swing with the 4 iron - didn't really have to think about it - whereas with the 3, I started to get tense/felt pressure on the shot.

Cant wait to use it again.
