Hi,
Have a mate who had a old ERC driver with 8% of loft that he used to hit a mile his swing speed is 108 or so, He has a ping G10 at the moment but is launching way to high around 18% so could anyone recommend a low launch shaft ot the alternative is trying to take the shaft out of the old erc should it fit a modren driver, so could anyone recommend a low launch shaft.
Thakns Mike

You need a high flex point for a low boring flight so shafts like the UST V2 or Aldila NV both in the 75g weight and both in at least stiff flex, maybe X flex, may suit.

Try this shaft selector website - http://golfshafts.us/

Thanks for the info the shaft in the erc is a Harrison stripper so might just look for a head now dose anyone have a driver head lying around that they are willing to sell for a few quid

I wouldn't bother trying to mix and match heads and shafts - it's not like the head or shaft you have is all that great anyway. There's huge value out there in the s/h and new market at the moment.

+1 to the guys who's said about the ProLaunch Red. I also have it in a G10 and find it great for giving a boring flight.

If you want something that hits it ridiculously low you can try my old Ping Tisi-Tech, 7.5 degree with X Flex ProForce shaft - but I wouldn't recommend it.

Couldn't recommend the PL Red highly enough. (excuse the pun!)

Remember the balls that were used years ago were higher spin off the driver than the balls now. That is why they used low loft drivers. Balls now generally launch faster and then flatten out.
