if your slicing it, it's because your shaft is too stiff. i had a very firm stiff voodoo and was slicing left, right and centre (mainly millions of miles right) but i exchange it for a whippy cobra stiff. drives are now a beaut

not strictly true, too much torque (too whippy) will also promote a slice, as will not enough loft. no point in second guessing - get it checked
