Hi, question about drivers. I've got a lesson lined up next week and will ask the pro but can't help but look to see what's out there in terms of equipment/opinion.
My current driver is a Wilson Offset DD6 with 12 degree loft. Was on the range yesterday and TopTracer said the carry was around 200 yds with a little bit of roll (say 210). The ball speed was roughly 130mph, launch angle 20 degree and height 100 ft.
My question is, for a bit of extra distance is the loft too high/not high enough? Is my swing/ball speed that slow that no matter what I use that will be the sort of distance I'm looking at? The club admittedly is over 10 years old, a relic in driver age. I did see in another post that for a new player/beginner, should look at something from the last 3 years. Perhaps it's all of the above but it's bugging me!
All comments gratefully received.
