Review returned to GM for the April edition. Managed to play 18 holes on Saturday in a stiff breeze-good testing conditions to assess the Taylor Made Draw Burner Driver in a competitive outing.

Have to say the driver performed superbly-hit 9/15 fairways, only one really bad drive and that was a breakdown in technique, i swung too quickly and lost my rhythm.
Distances were greater than achieved with my Taylor Made R5.
Into the wind the ball flew with a penetrating flight.

The size of the clubhead at 460cc does give you confidence when addressing the ball.

After one competitive round i am very happy with the driver and will continue to use the club.

Yeh yeh,

now stop rubbing it in you got a good bit of kit to try and poor mortals like me got sweet fanny adams!

I tested Topflite balls review also in April but slightly harder to be jealous of those.

Still, did not do it for the freebies so more than happy.

9 out of 15 fairways! performed superbly? hate to think what a bad round is like.

Do you count the fairways of neighbouring holes. If so I hit a fiarway more often than not. Even drove the green on a 500 yard par 5 albeit that it was the green for the par 3 off to the right.

Craigy mac what percentage of fairways do you hit on any given day?
I hit 66% of the fairways-
Sergio Garcia rated one of the best drivers in Europe has an average of 69%.
The leader in accuracy stats is Jean Francois Lucquin at 76.8%.

I hit 82% fairways (last count) - am I better than Sergio?
Actually better than Lucquin too. :)

Trouble is, I hit it 80 yards shorter than these guys... :(
