Hi Guys,

I am relatively new to golf and my swing speeds are moderate

I play okay with irons and lower any my driving is not good to say the least

I was at the range trying different things and have hit the ball ON the hosel, this caused the hosel to crack and mid swing the hosel fell off and the graphite shaft snapped.

Is that even repairable? Or will I just need a new driver

NOTE: It is not broken at the Hosel. The hosel is no longer attached and the graphite shaft is in bits

It is a Cobra FMax Airspeed Driver

That is just the shaft that has snapped. The other part is a furrule.

It can be fixed. You just need a new shaft. Take it to a local course and the pro there should be able to sort you out.

The question will be - " can the pro get the old shaft end out of the head".

Looks to me like it will have to be drilled out rather than using the the heat extraction method.

It may be possible to insert a long screw into the remnants of the shaft and then heat it up and pull the remnant out by pulling on the screw. I've done it so a pro shouldn't have much difficulty. It all depends on the integrity of the part of the shaft that remains in the hosel.

That could be the reason you could not hit the driver very well :ROFLMAO:
If the shaft was split it would not preform properly.
It’s an easy job to a pro.
The big question is what shaft are you getting put in?
Your pro should have a few knocking about

drilling out is fine, the epoxy and remains of the shaft are far softer that the metal inside the hosel. It’ll do very minimal damage if any to the inside of the hosel.
