Driver Loft and face angle understanding?

Not really getting my head round the increase loft 1* closes face angle 2* formula

Open the face on a wedge it increases loft

so anyone explain it in noddy terms or post a link to "everything you ever wanted to know about loft and face angles but were afraid to ask" :smirk:

where did you get the formulae?

ah - the TM FCT hozel adjustment?

the question then becomes - face angle relative to what? To increase the loft 1 degree but retain the face alignment to target, you will need to close the face angle....

with your wedge analogy you do this by changing your stance alignment when you open the face
