Driver head screw help

Hi guys,

Recently purchased a new Titleist driver head from eBay. It's arrived but won't screw into my driver shaft. Tried to screw it into the fairway wood and same issues. It's as though the screw isn't Kong enough inside. Has anyone had this issue before and how did they fix it? Is this a relatively easy fix for the pro shop to carry out etc?

Are you sure the adapter on the shaft is the right one for the head? If so is the adapter sitting flush to the head? If it is and the screw doesn't make it to the adapter then you may have a fake. Photos of the head and adapter would help

Yes Titleist adapter on the shafts etc just not sure if the screw has been snapped prior to selling etc

Measure it. Plenty of folk on here could measure there's for you. To be clear we are talking about a screw ?

Are you sure your shaft and the head are a match.

You could change the screw if you think it is that.

The screw.is quite easy to replace, if it's broken so no longer long enough to screw into the adpator.

Are you sure your shaft and the head are a match.

You could change the screw if you think it is that.

Originally thought this but my 3 wood fits on the driver shaft but the driver head doesn't fit on my 3 wood shaft so must be a screw issue

Why don't you remove both screws and see if they are the same size?

Take it to your local pro, (s)he'll sort it for you

I'd also take it to your pro and see if it's fake. If it is you might have a hard time getting your money back if you wait until after lockdown

Surely wouldn't let me screw my right handed fairway head into it if it was left handed?

Unscrew it as much as possible then pop in a flat head behind it. There usually only kept in by a rubber washer

I'm not sure mate. Should still take the shaft without the washer. Take to a pro before lockdown mate

Sounds dodgy. Raise a complaint and take it to a pro. Can always retract the complaint

Left handed shaft will still fit .
It’s just that the adjustments are the other way around.
They still have a right. Hand thread.
Sounds like they have lost the bolt and replaced it with a non compatible one from another club.
It should have a holding rubber ring on it.
Have a really good look around where the bolt goes through the head for any cracks .
Oems do change adapters now and again it might be the bolt is from an earlier model.
As said take it to your pro before Thursday or just send it back.

The bolt would not have stayed in place without the washer is it just stuck in the head. Check top and bottom.

Assuming you now have the bolt in your hand can you see why it will not fit on the shaft. Is it the wrong diameter, is the thread burred?
