I’ve got a Ping G430, would I need a Ping specific adjustment tool or are all brands compatible and with the same torque specs?

I have found all to be compatible but I think it’s been mentioned on here that one brand is different. It might be PXG but I am guessing from poor memory

Most if not all brands now use Torx T25 fittings and wrenches so unless the club you’re planning to use it on is over 10+ years old you should be absolutely fine especially with Ping.

Pretty much all clubs made in the last 10 years use the same specs (T25, 40 in-lb) so wrenches are compatible.
Some older clubs are rated for lower torque (30 in-lb).

The torque ratings can be different
e.g The silver TM one has a lower torque rating than the white one.

I use the white TM one on both my Ping 3W and my Titleist Rescue without any problems

All the big brands now use the same bit, wee sort of star shape. Titleist one definitely fits ping and vice versa. Taylor made, callaway etc are all the same.

Honma uses some kind of sleeve thing with their wrenches. But I have found out that you don't really need it, and any wrench fits. So I think they are universal.

i use a honma wrench, worked on all the big OEM woods - and odyssey putter weights

Anyone use something other than a branded tool. my PXG one just spins now and for what they are the branded ones are somewhat overpriced

PXG uses an industry Standard Torx 25 wrench. If you buy specific to brand you’re looking at £25+, but you can easily pick a normal one of Amazon for around £8-£10 which for all industry standard Torx 25 driver adapters.

There are also loads on ebay, some coming from golf shops.
I got mine for free when I bought a driver from a second hand outlet, asked "oh does it come with a wrench?" and they said 'think we've got one out the back, I'll get it for you'. 😄

Really it's a bit cheeky that new drivers don't come with them. Like buying a phone and not getting a charger with it.
