Driver Grip size

I hold the clubs like a cricket bat and prefer a larger diameter grip than normal something like a bigger putter grip is there a rule which states a maximum diameter grip you can use?

yes there is a rule but dont ask me to find it ,but it does exist.

The general rule of thumb (pun intended) is to grip the club. If the tips of your fingers are touching the other side of your hand then the grip isn't thick enough.

Go too big or too thin and it might affect the direction.

Rule of thumb too thick creates a push and too thin a pull/hook.
