Having played in all sorts of poor weather this summer we need a better scorecard than the ones we have used over 100 yrs.

With our technology expertise it should be eay to make a scorecard, like a Blackberry, where you imput the score on a LSD screen and just plug the device into your computer in the clubhouse using a USB port an downloading the info. Info stored and device wiped for use next time.
No more soggy paper scorecards.

I would add wireless conectivity so as it uploads the scores as you play your round. Could then have a live leaderboard in the clubhouse.

I would be just as happy for all clubs to allow golfers to make use of the technology that already exists (mone still will not allow GPS devices in comps).

Having 300 handhelds could prove expensive and hard to maintain, what about having score terminals at each hole where you complete each hole, walk onto the next teebox, select your fourball and enter each players score for the previous hole then sign with a touch screen at the end to say its been checked.
Id love to see a live scoreboard in our club as the weekly competition is played over friday and saturday and its nice to know how things are going.
