Hi

I am traveling up to Inverness on the 1st of April to play at Royal Dornoch and then Castle Stuart on the 2nd. Would anybody be interested in joining me?

The green fees are £75 for Dornoch and £150 for Castle Stuart unless you are a Scottish resident and then so long as you have proof it would be £90.

The course at Castle Stuart will have only been open for 1 day so hopefully it will be in perfect condition!

The tee times are:

11:00 Royal Dornoch 1st April
09:20 or 13:50 Castle Stuart 2nd April

I play off 15.

Just thought it might be of interest for anyone who missed out on or couldn't play on the GM trip later that month.

If your interested please send me a PM and I will get back to A.S.A.P!

Many Thanks

I live in Inverness, so could prob manage a game. I can get on at Dornoch for £10 as Tain ( My Club) have a recp deal.

Not sure about Castle Stuart. I know they do a deal for locals but only as a 4 ball.

Have you got a tee time booked?

ow long are you staying for, just the 2 days?

Yeah I am! I am catching a sleeper train overnight to Inverness.

I am going on a big golf tour, playing at Deal, RSG, Dornoch and Castle Stuart.

Bit crazy but booked my train tickets early (can't drive) so it is actually not that pricey!

Sounds like a nice trip, I'd love to play Royal Dornoch again, I've a score to settle on the 2nd green where I putted right off the green and ran up a treble!!!!!

Shells wonderful world of golf yesterday Fred Couples V Greg Norman playing at Dornoch.

Norman was world number one at the time +7 after five holes then played the rest of the round in level par, Fred finished +4 Oh Yeh it was a bit windy.

Was that not The Carnegie Club at Skibo. I was watching Sky on Monday night and had those two playing here and it was blowing a gail.

I'd love to get a game at Skibo. Private members club £10,000 a year and you have to stay the night £1500 a time even if you are a member

Played it back in 2001 thru the SGU who were getting times for £60 each which including a 3 course meal when you come and all your drink.

Its an awesome course ,the day we played it the wind was blowing in the opposite direction from normal and all the par 5s bar the last on the back9 played right into, if you ever get the chance play it its worth the drive.

The course is actually about 5 miles south of the hotel itself but you can see it from the course.

yeah, they used to do a locals deal too, but not anymore. Only way to get a game now is as a Guest or join.

One of my mates at Tain has played it a few times and loves it. You can see a few of the Fairways as you cross the Dornoch Bridge.

Just skip on, cut off jeans, adidas sambas and a a t-shirt no one will notice or even question you!
