Currently mortgage free + savings, looking to borrow against our existing house to (probably) buy another.

Hi james - not sure what you want to know but taking a mortgage on your existing will be judged as per a normal mortgage. Similarly, as the debt is linked to you main home i doubt you can offset the interset agaisnt any rent on a new house, if that is you are looking to rent it
